There's something so classic to the gentle hum of the record. It doesn't give you the best quality of sound, sometimes it feels as though the music is echoing ever so slightly through a chamber, but nonetheless the experience of playing songs on a record is tactile, memorable. You connect to the music by gently laying the needle through the spinning groove, and sound responds to your touch. This kinetic and co-created birth of art holds tight to us, wraps us in comfort, becomes our refuge.
